Training Overview
Aim: 
  • To raise awareness of assertiveness and develop strategies to become more confident through assertiveness.
Course Content: 
  • Developing a greater understanding of assertiveness
  • Understand the difference between assertive, aggressive and passive behaviour
  • Enhancing assertive behaviour
  • Enabling participants to demonstrate assertiveness
  • Saying 'no'
  • Considering ways to overcome conflict and disagreements
  • Using assertiveness moving forward

Group work will give participants the opportunity to investigate assertive skills.
Scenarios will be used to examine the effects of assertiveness.

Duration: 
  • 1 day ~ run at times to fit around taking children to/from school
General Information: 
  • Interactive training workshop for up to 15 participants.
  • Each participant will receive informative handouts, a certificate and a training evaluation questionnaire.
