Training Overview
Aim: 
  • To  provide parents/carers with the confidence and knowledge to implement basic  first aid – including children and infants
Course Content: 
  • First aid responsibilities and priorities
  • Primary survey, initial care of conscious and unconscious casualties including seizures
  • Resuscitation (CPR) adults, children and infants
  • Choking
  • Shock
  • Dealing with severe blood loss
  • Limb bandaging
Duration: 
  • 1 session of 3½ hours ~ run at times to fit around taking children to/from school.
General Information: 
  • Interactive training workshop for up to 15 participants.
  • Each participant will receive informative handouts and a British Red Cross certificate.
  • Please note - participants should be made aware that they will be required to take part in practical demonstrations and should dress suitably (e.g. they may wish to wear trousers).
