Training Overview
Aim: 

To introduce participants to the key skills and knowledge to work with children.

Course Content: 
  • Understanding the areas and stages of child development
  • Ways in which adults can help children develop
  • Play activities to enhance development
  • Equality and diversity in the child care setting
  • Understanding safeguarding
  • Dealing with safeguarding concerns
  • Reflecting on the way children behave
  • Defining strategies to prevent or change unwanted behaviour
  • Sharing useful tips and advice
Duration: 
  • 3 days ~ run at times to fit around taking children to/from school
General Information: 
  • Interactive training workshop for up to 15 participants
  • Each participant will receive informative handouts, a certificate and a training evaluation questionnaire.
