Training Workshops for Parents : Challenging Children's Behaviour


Training Overview:


Aim

To enable us to identify causes of unacceptable behaviour in children and develop strategies to prevent and deal with it.

Overview
  • To recognise what we mean by unwanted behaviour
  • Consider the causes/factors of this behaviour
  • Identifying strategies to prevent and modify unwanted behaviour
  • Developing action plans to deal with more serious aspects of unwanted behaviour
  • Sharing useful tips and advice
Group work will give group participants the opportunity to investigate practical ways in which they can build on their current good practice.

Scenarios will be used to identify and discuss problems that might arise.

Duration

2 sessions of two and a half hours each.
These can be run separately or combined into one whole day.

Training Method

Interactive training workshop for up to 12 participants.

Handouts will be provided which will summarize the basic points.

Each participant will receive a certificate and training evaluation questionnaire.
