Training Workshops for Parents : Child Development

Training Overview:

Aim

To enhance our understanding of how children develop and explore ways we can prepare for this and assist them to develop fully.

Areas of child development
Stages of child development
Using play to aid child development
Ways in which adults can help
If concerns arise

Group work will give participants the opportunity to discuss experiences and investigate aspects of how children develop.

Scenarios will be used to identify how to deal with common problems.

Duration

2 sessions of two and a half hours each.
These can be run separately or combined into one whole day.

Training Method

Interactive training workshop for up to 12 participants.

Handouts will be provided which will summarize the basic points.

Each participant will receive a certificate and training evaluation questionnaire.
