Aim

To raise awareness of the role of the volunteer and reflect on the skills and knowledge required to be a community volunteer.

Values, attitudes and boundaries
Listening and communication skills
Equal opportunities and diversity
Domestic violence awareness
Community Involvement
Child protection awareness

Group work and scenarios will give participants the opportunity to consider and practice some of the practical aspects.

Duration

8 sessions of two and a half hours each.
These can be run separately or combined into days.

Training Method

Interactive training workshop for up to 12 participants.

Handouts will be provided which will summarize the basic points.

Each participant will receive a certificate and training evaluation questionnaire.
